Welcome to Umeboshi Jewelry Designs!    I make unique dichroic fused glass and wire wrapped jewelry.  Most of it is one-of-a-kind, just like you are.   Please browse through the shop and see if there is something that's just right for you.

Here is a bit of information about me.

Making things has been a passion since my early years and I can't remember a time when I was not seeking to create something.  I love to get my hands on just about anything, from house construction to fine jewelry making and stained glass.  I am a very visual person and tend to see the world in terms of color, line, composition and function.  So working with those elements communicates my experiences through my art.

Discovering glass work has been a real pleasure and I love all things glass.   I have been working in stained glass since the '70's.  My stained glass can be seen at http://www.darkhollowglass.com.

My work with dichroic glass emerged in the last decade and was an offshoot of doing glass painting and kiln firing for my stained glass.  Dichroic glass has absolutely amazing properties and I find myself spending quite a bit of time having fun creating unique jewelry with it.  The transformation of dichroic glass as it fuses in the kiln is pretty exciting.

I do this jewelry work in my West Virginia studio, where I keep my kilns and have a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge mountains.

More jewelry as well as some simple stained glass pieces can also be found in my Etsy shop at http://www.2glassthumbs.etsy.com.
