Color Symphony Handmade Dichroic Fused Glass Pendant with Curved Silver Tube Bail
This unique, one-of-a-kind dichroic glass pendant is a symphony of brilliant colors! The multi-colored cabochon was fully capped and fired at 1500 degrees Fahrenheit to produce a stunning and enduring gem that captures the rainbow.
The oval cabochon is drilled through to hang horizontally from a beautiful, delicate sterling silver tube bail. The bail curves upward to hold a chain. The bail opening is narrow, so a thin chain is needed to pass through. I suggest this necklace from my store for a perfect match, especially for a petite woman. It is shown in the photos. http://umeboshi.indiemade.com/product/delicate-sterling-silver-16-inch-snake-chain-pendants

What is dichroic glass? Dichroic glass was first developed by NASA as part of their satellite mirror systems. The thin dichroic coating must be applied to the sheet glass in very controlled environments. Di-chroic means two colors and this glass reflects/transmits different colors depending on the angle of light. When it is worn with different colors, it appears to pick up and reflect some of those colors so it really enhances the total look. I call this the "mood" of the glass. Dichroic glass is very coveted by glass jewelry artisans.
